More of Europe's brightest young stars join Hambric Stellar Golf's growing client portfolio

In addition to James Heath, the reigning English Amateur and Lytham Trophy champion, Hambric Stellar Golf have recently signed representation (management) agreements with five other young European golfers who have all attained a full 2005 European Tour card.

Oliver Wilson and Matthew King, both former England Internationals, qualified through finishing in the top 15 in the Challenge Tour Order of Merit. Wilson, a key member of the victorious 2003 GB & I Walker Cup team, achieved this in his first year as a professional. King won the Scandia PGA and the Donnington Grove Computacenter English Challenge Open in his first season on the Challenge Tour to finish 5th in the Order of Merit.

Francesco Molinari, arguably Italy's finest ever amateur, turned professional at the European Qualifying School immediately after helping Italy reach their highest ever position in the World Amateur Championships. Molinari, who has previously reached the quarter final and semi final of the British Amateur Championship and starred in this year’s European Palmer Cup team, finished 4th at the Final Stage of Qualifying School.

Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano secured his card by finishing 6th at the European Tour Qualifying School. Castano was one of Europe’s leading amateurs in recent years and captained the European Palmer Cup team to victory at Ballybunnion this year, including a singles victory over Ryan Moore. He recently marked his debut as a professional on Spanish soil with a top 10 finish.

Lars Brovold, from Norway, announced his arrival as a professional by shooting 61 in the 2nd round of the Final Stage of Qualifying School. He went on to comfortably gain his full tour card. Brovold spent four years at the University of Alabama, earning All-American honour, and also represented Europe in the Palmer Cup this year.

“We are pleased that Hambric Stellar Golf, the golf division of CSS Stellar, has progressed so far in its first full year. The five young players that we have signed have all shown their huge potential by securing their full European Tour cards for 2005. Together with James Heath we believe that we are working with six players who are the future of European golf,” said Marcus Day, Director of European Golf.

“The outstanding success in 2004 of our European player management group is a key to our global golf growth strategy. When combined with the long-term success of our American player management group, CSS’s Stellar’s golf division is now one of the strongest in the world, and is certainly well positioned for the future on both of the world’s leading tours,” said Rocky Hambric, CEO of Hambric Stellar Golf.

“All of us at CSS Stellar are confident that our golf division will continue to grow from strength to strength and build on the impressive start that it has achieved in signing some of Europe’s best young golfers,” said Sean Kelly, CEO of CSS Stellar plc, which also represents professional golfers such as Sandy Lyle, Justin Leonard and Butch Harmon. -27 November 2004
