Reigning 125cc MotoGP World Champion, Andrea Dovizioso continued his excellent rookie season in the 250cc MotoGP with an impressive second place finish in Estoril today.

This is viewed by many as the strongest 250cc field for many years and it is testimony to Andrea’s ability that he has made such an impact in his first season racing in the 250 class.

Dovizioso is currently in second position overall in the drivers’ championship, only 5 points behind Pedrosa, the current 250cc World Champion. – 17 April 2005
