Hambric Stellar Golf’s two-year-old golf management division will have five participants in the 2005 Open Championship at The Old Course, St. Andrews, July 14-17. Scotland’s Sandy Lyle (1985 Open Championship, 1988 Masters) and Americans Justin Leonard (1997 Open Championship) and Bob Tway (1986 PGA Championship) are joined by 2003 HP Classic of New Orleans and 2004 Colonial winner Steve Flesch of the United States and Open qualifier Lars Brovold of Norway.
Brovold is only the second Norwegian in Open Championship history to qualify for the prestigious event. The 26-year-old European PGA Tour rookie was medalist by three strokes at the London Links qualifier with rounds of 66-64—130. - 12 July 2005
