Sébastien Loeb was in a state of ecstasy after winning the Rally of Argentina and more importantly re-writing the history books after winning his sixth WRC Rally. This means that Sébastien has won six out of the last nine rallies thereby extending his lead over second placed Petter Solberg by 27 points.

The start of the rally was signaled by a huge down pour and ferocious weather conditions followed which led to very difficult driving conditions across the stages. Ultimately it was defending world champion who handled the conditions best and he looks on course to defend his crown- 17 July 2005
