| Allan McNish completely dominated the 2006 American Le Mans Series (ALMS), winning the championship in style with 8 wins in the 10-race season, including the 12 Hours of Sebring. He also had a 3rd-place finish at the famous 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Prior to this, Allan raced for Audi in the 2005 DTM and for Audi Sport UK Team Veloqx in the 2004 sportscar series. Allan also spent 3 years in Formula 1, most recently as Test Driver for the Renault F1 Team. The media friendly Scotsman was Race Driver with the Toyota F1 team in 2002, after a 2-year stint as Official Test Driver. Before his move to F1, he reached the highest levels of sportscar racing winning the 2000 American Le Mans Series. He won the legendary Le Mans in 1998 driving for Porsche and was runner-up in 2000 driving for Audi. |
