Joel Sjoholm
Joel Sjoholm
Joel was born in Santiago, Chile, but was raised by a Swedish family. He is a self-confessed golf addict and first picked up a golf club aged three, by the age of five he was spending up to 12 hours a day on the course. Joel fine tuned his game whilst completing a four year scholarship at Georgia State University in America. In only his second European Tour appearance, he collected 19,900 for finishing in a tie for 24th at the BMW International Open. Finished seventh in his second Challenge Tour appearance at the Credit Suisse Challenge, and came agonisingly close to securing his maiden victory when losing out in a play-off to Ireland's Michael McGeady at the SWALEC Wales Challenge. He lives next door to European Tour Member Thomas Bjorn of Denmark on the small Swedish island of Skaftö.
