| Andrea Dovizioso is one of the greatest young talents to emerge in motorbike racing. After a hugely successful beginning in the Italian Mini bike Championship, which he won in consecutive years, Andrea then won the Aprilia Challenger 125cc Italian Championship in 2000. He followed this by winning the 125 GP European Championship in 2001, before moving on to the World Championship in 2002. He finished 5th overall in 2003. Riding for Honda, he was crowned MotoGP 125 World Champion in 2004.
In 2006, Andrea finished second in the MotoGP 250 World Championship, with an impressive 11 podiums (including 2 wins) in the 16 races.
This season will see Andrea competing against the world's best riders in MotoGP. In his debut race at the Qatar MotoGP, he finished in a very impressive 4th position.
