| Dan Wheldon is the sensation of American motorsport. He won the 2005 IRL championship, following his IRL Championship Runner-Up position in 2004. Highlight of the 2005 season was Dan's race victory in the world-famous Indy 500. Dan was unlucky not to retain the IRL crown, finishing runner-up in 2006, tied on points with the champion Sam Hornish Jr. He has a terrific racing pedigree, having been Championship runner-up and Rookie of the year in the 2001 Indy Lights Series, driving for PacWest. His racing career achievements also include winning Rookie of the year and finishing Championship runner-up in the 2000 Toyota Atlantic Series. |
