| Andrew Hodge |
 |
| Andy Hodge is the brightest young talent in British rowing. He is widely tipped to follow in the footsteps and emulate the achievements of rowing legends such as Sir Steve Redgrave and Sir Matthew Pinsent.
Andy came to rowing relatively late, when he went to university, but has been making up for lost time ever since. His rise through the rowing ranks has been swift. He was a surprise selection for the GB U-23 squad in 2001 and gained his first senior GB vest at the Seville World Championships in 2002. He made his Olympic debut in the Eight at Athens in 2004 before taking World Cup Gold at Dorney Lake, Eton in 2005. He also stroked the victorious Oxford boat in the 151st Boat Race that year. Andy was part of the crew which retained the World Championship in 2006. His long-term target is to stroke the coxless Four in the Beijing Olympics and to secure gold for a new “Oarsome Foursome”. |
